Dave has been working in youth drama since the 1980’s running Open Door Community Theatre at Bowes Lyon House in Stevenage, working as a drama teacher for Dreams Unlimited and he now runs the Stevenage Lytton Youth Theatre.

Dave has also worked with adult groups and directed productions of Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Murder In Play, Popcorn, Much Ado About Nothing and recently The Tempest.  He has also directed several musicals including Sweeney Todd, The Who’s Tommy, Man Of LaMancha, Assassins, Godspell, Little Shop Of Horrors and Chess.

Dave is an ex script writer on shows like Spitting Image, Alas Smith & Jones and A Kick Up The Eighties. 

He has directed shows for Open Door, Mimram Productions, Lytton Players, North Herts Operatic Society, Luton Phoenix Players and Buntingford Dramatic Society.

In late 2009 Dave left his full time job to expand Stagefrights and go back to writing  for televsion and theatre.  His recent play “Once Upon A Time” was performed by the Stevenage Lytton Youth Theatre in February 2010 and he writes most of Stagefrights Potton, Christmas and Summer School productions.
